Social Justice Or Equal Justice Choose One!

Some time ago I did a post on Civil Rights where I briefly examined how far the Civil Rights movement has strayed from Dr. King’s time. Now I would like to focus on something that Dr. King spoke about and dare I say fought and died for. That would be equal justice. This idea of equal justice has been replaced with the socialistic ideal of Social Justice. Make no mistake Social Justice is by all accounts and practices socialism. Where as equal justice does not play favorites based upon BS hyphenations or imagined class stereotypes.

From what I have read about the late Dr. King it seems to me that what is being spouted now by the “poverty pimps” of the world, Ethnic activist groups, and black liberation theologists would make him cringe and say “this is not what I was fighting for.”

From my observations the civil rights movement has become more of a hatred of success and socialist “he has one I deserve one too!” movement than a desire for equal justice and equal rights. I say that because you don’t see people anymore fighting for the right to make their own decisions and take responsibility for their own lives by having the equal opportunity to work hard and succeed. It seems to have turned more into a big ethnic pissing contest that does more damage to the dream of equality than to help it. Case in point The “Reverend” Jessy Jackson who by a lot of peoples’ misunderstanding is a fervent supporter of equal rights. I say misunderstanding because 5 minutes with Google will show the opposite. Do you think that if someone really wanted equal rights for all he would refer to parts of New York as Hymie town or make ludicrous statements like, “God gave you your skin color so why not use it to your advantage.”

That doesn’t sound like equality to me that sounds like a victim complex imagining itself to be the greater of equals. If someone wants equality great I will happily treat them with equality but if anybody – White, Black, Hispanic, Retarded or otherwise wants special treatment based upon a religious ideology or ethnic identity, not only will I not treat them as an equal but purposefully treat them as a lesser person.

Social Justice which is being preached constantly by groups like CAIR, NAACP, La Raza, and the lone “poverty pimps” is not justice at all. Its an idea to drag everyone to the same level no matter how hard a person works and give special concessions for perceived under-represented minority groups. Basically prettied up Socialism. A good analogy for it would be equal bread for unequal work. But what about Equal Justice?

Equal Justice which is what was being preached 50 years ago is just that: an equal chance to pursue wealth and happiness on an equal footing with your neighbor. What I mean by that is while your neighbor may be more prosperous than you, you and your neighbor would have equal opportunity to be successful. It does not mean penalize and force your neighbor to subsidize you because he worked hard for his success.

While equal justice is a noble dream and social justice has proven time and time again to be detrimental, I fear that we may never see equal justice as long as people keep giving credence to whiny activist groups that make their donations off of peddling the “I am a victim give me a pony” mentality.

Finally stand on your own two feet and take responsibility for your own actions and let your neighbor do the same. Because when you boil it down, Social Justice is nothing more than the jealousy of the lazy under the guise of a better society.

Until Next Time: Stand on your own two feet and you will have a solid base.

Nannystateitis: Stealing Your Rights For The Greater Good

Nannystateitis ~ n. A disease of the progressive and activist organizations that makes them think that its ok to trample on the rights of the majority to punish  the bad behavior of the minority in order to protect “the greater good.”

The greater good -  now that truly is a reason to give up your rights isn’t it? The greater good is one of the tag lines that activist groups and nanny-state politicians use to invoke an emotional response so that they can pass increasingly intrusive legislation slowly stripping all of us of our rights. Unfortunately this is not a new concept and statements like “we need to pass this (insert intrusive legislation name here) in order to protect the greater good” or the ever popular “We must enact this law to protect the children.” Why do people keep falling for these untrue slogans and vote to strip themselves of their rights?

Please tell me you my loyal reader are not stupid enough to think that the government or any of these special interest groups give a damn about your safety or your children. These actions are purely to seize just that much more control of your lives and your actions. We see “feel good” laws and regulations pass and now have playgrounds around the country without slides or swings, or intruding on a business owner’s right to allow smoking in their establishment.

One of my favorite nanny-state lies is about the artificial sweetener saccharin those of you over thirty may remember this one. It started with a study in the late 1970s that showed saccharin contributed to bladder cancer in rats. So of course the nanny-state bureaucrats had to step up and pass all kinds of laws and restrictions. Warning labels had to be put on saccharin containing products and a lot of regulations on its uses were put into place. The only problem is that they didn’t tell you that the rats were subjected to levels of the sweetener that no human would ever come into contact with unless you drank 800 diet sodas a day. You know I’ll bet if you ate the amount of regular sugar in 800 sodas a day you would run a much higher risk of obesity and diabetes, so with that said lets pass laws that ban sugar too.

In the beginning I said that Nannystateitis is a progressive disorder and it is but do not mistake what I am saying. I do not use progressive to mean democrat because nanny stater’s are truly a bi partisan group that is not hampered by race, religion, sex or political affiliation. Nannystateitis is truly cross-cultural and it is part of every activist ideology and it occurs when oversensitive cry-babies get offended or someone gets hurt or killed.

Lets take this for example. The United States suffers 6,500 drownings or around 1 per 50,000 of population on average per year. I would like to point out that is 6500 people more than have died from saccharine caused cancer. So using nanny-state logic we should pass legislation against going into the water. So close all the swimming pools and beaches because 6500 out of 300,000,000 die on average from drowning, or we should ban bathtubs because around 75 children a year die in them, therefore they are a safety hazard. So we need this law and it needs to pass to “protect the children.” Are you all starting to get the point.

So after deciding that you as an individual are too stupid to make your own choices these activist groups and the government pass these laws not to protect you but more so to control you and your behavior.

Stand up and stop believing their crap and allowing them to continue to lie to you with their made up facts and skewed statistics or one day you may just wake up in an Orwellian nightmare that you can’t escape.

Civil Rights: Affirmative Action Does It Really Help

Posted in Social Issues by White Male Oppressor on August 22, 2009 No Comments yet

And last but not least post 3 of this series. Over time I have heard a lot of arguments for and against Affirmative Action and after doing some research into Affirmative Action I feel that it had it’s uses in the past, but in today’s world has bred animosity between the races therefore Affirmative Action programs need to be weeded out.

First let’s take a look back at Affirmative Action. The first time Affirmative Action was used by the federal government was in 1961, when then president John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order 10925. This order instructed federal contractors to take Affirmative Action to ensure, regardless of race, sex, religion or national origin, all applicants would be treated equally -  creating the committee on equal employment opportunity.  In 1986 the supreme court in local 128 of the Sheet Metal Workers’ International Association v. EEOC, 478 U.S. 421 upheld a judicially ordered membership goal of 29% minority for the union due to intentional discrimination against minorities in it’s membership practices which confirmed that courts could order race conscious relief to (as they put it) correct and prevent future discrimination. From that time till 1998 numerous universities started to ban Affirmative Action plans that were in place since the main civil rights movements of the 60’s and 70’s and that is when the push for diversity education really got going.

So what is wrong with them passing those laws to prevent discrimination you might ask. Well the answer is simple. Nothing, because up through the 1980’s there were definite needs to help integrate sections of the workforce but since then all it has bred is mistrust and animosity due to the fact that it catered to hiring practices that didn’t help stop discrimination but merely shifted the discrimination to white people by forcing the hiring of some potentially under-qualified applicants over qualified applicants based on minority status, which in turn fed an entitlement mentality among the different minority groups. So now it was decided that as long as you are a minority you deserve a job which is bullshit you only deserve a job if you work hard and prove your capability to do that job. This helped lead to the push by progressives for a politically correct march on America. Now people are not only overlooked for jobs and promotions because they are not minorities but also it is now shoved down throats of  people in corporate as well as every employment sector that white people have to walk on egg shells so as not to offend for fear of their jobs or bullshit hate crimes legislation.

From what I have read about Affirmative Action I feel that it needs to be repealed. My reasoning for this is not some crappy argument like, “It would help lead a truly color-blind society,” or another one that I heard,” Affirmative Action lowers standards of accountability needed to push students or employees to perform better.” But because it along with diversity training have pushed us farther apart from each other. But that’s what those douche bag human pieces of garbage are doing by trying to force us to be condescending to each other by making us use useless titles for people and ethnic groups. While there are still pockets where this type of behavior persists, from my experience that is not the norm. However these oversensitive, apologetic, self hating assholes are trying to promote an, “I am not as good so I need special consideration,” type of mentality and unfortunately they are succeeding.

What needs to happen, I believe, is that people need to stand up and tell all these self hating numb-nuts that we are sick of this shit and start treating each other like people instead of separate species.
