Here is one from the “1984″ file. The state of Pennsylvania in true “Orwellian” style has released a commercial. I take that back, a “big brother” style threat to the citizens of the state over state income tax.
This threat that was produced by the Pennsylvania department of revenue. It starts with a satellite view of the earth and a female computerized voice talking to Tom and over the course of the commercial it zeros in on his house. I would like to congratulate the state of Pennsylvania for this attempt at using what looks like Google Earth to try to instill fear and compliance with state tax codes. Here is the commercial that ran in the state of Pennsylvania produced by the Pennsylvania propaganda department, I mean marketing department for the State Department of Revenue:
All I can think to say is “A little perception of fear and extortion go along way, right PA…”

When I first found this video I didn’t think much of it. It just sounded like someone leading some students in a chant to reinforce that they could be anything they wanted when they grew up. Whats wrong with that?
Then I listened a little closer and while for the most part this was a positive exercise there were a few lines in there that rather disturbed me. The disturbing part of this is that amongst the standard “I can be anything” mantra these children are chanting they threw in a little indoctrination for good measure with having the children repeatedly say “I am an Obama Scholar.” Whats wrong with that you may be asking? It is quite simple. During an attempt at any socialist or communistic rise ever, the first place to start indoctination is the schools.
Now I am not saying that Obama is working to make himself a dictator because there is no actual proof of that, and I don’t want to make any potentially damaging comments about anyone without proof (unlike liberals). But what I am saying is you leak in “glorious leader” mantras and indoctrination subtly at first to really drill it in before going full boar on the whole of the brainwashing. This is absolutely right out of Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. If you haven’t read it I would suggest that you do and then watch the news, you will get a whole new disgust for these people. The Progressives are making it happen and the bulk of people are either to uninformed to see it or to apathetic to care.

Just in case you could not understand what was being said here is the chant “Anything, anything, anything, anything I want to be I want, doctor, lawyer, judge, journalist, writer, fire fighter, principal, President, President, President, anything, anything, I want to be. If my mind can conceive it and my heart can believe it, then I know, I know, I know, I can achieve it, because I am an Obama scholar, an Obama scholar and I will strive to be, out outstanding, brilliant, I will achieve, I’ll be motivated, positive attitude, positive attitude, mountain, move out of my way.” This would be disturbing enough if this was the only time. Besides what the hell does “I am an Obama Scholar have to do with any of the rest of it. This kind of crap happens in other schools as well. Some of these kids may not be able to spell indoctrination but they sure are victims of it.
A growing trend in the arsenal of the whining self absorbed politically correct culture we live in is the amazing trend of hyphenation. This is primarily used by the minority groups of this country to try to differentiate themselves from the society at large. This seems to be some vain, narcissistic attempt to be individuals and get special treatment.
Hyphenation has gone to far. Here are a couple of examples of what I am talking about: African-American, and Mexican-Americans, etc. to the multitude of hyphenations that people are supposed to use to describe other people or risk being called a racist.
I would like to make this clear. You are not a hyphen you are an American. You are not an African-American or a Mexican-American unless your self serving butt immigrated here from the African Continent or Mexico. Like wise for the rest. I used African-American and Mexican-American as the examples because they are the most prominently pushed of the politically correct Hyphens.
We need to stop this trend. I have personally never met a successful Black, Hispanic, Middle Eastern or any other person of non European decent outside of the academic, activist, professional victim or the politically correct circles that have demanded to be called by a hyphenation. In fact I have found that most of them I have asked find the hyphenated terms degrading and condescending.
Our ancestors didn’t need a hyphen. They were happy enough just to be American and that is something that we need to get back to as a culture. We need to get away from the religious and ethnic whining that separates us and come back together as Americans. In short we need to come together and tell the politically correct crybabies to screw off.
However I do think that there is one hyphenation that may be okay and that is Native-American because they are native to the American Continent. The rest of us however are just good ole fashioned Americans.
I guess the point that I am trying to make on my soap box today is, stop trying to separate yourself from your fellow countrymen and start to embrace that which makes us the same rather than demanding to be treated different based on the foolish notion of ancestral heritage. What makes us the same is we are all Americans.
