Welcome to the progressives age of idiocy. This story just straight pissed me off, and I am not even a Christian. Maxham School in Massachusetts has made the decision that an 8 year old boy needed to be suspended from school and required to attain a psychological evaluation before being allowed to return. What was his crime you might ask? This all happened because he drew a picture of Jesus on the cross. Below is the offending picture.
Religious Tolerance at its finest
Isn’t that terrible, look at that drawing, a picture of the figure that is central to the boy and his families religious faith. Perhaps I am getting a head of myself so here is the back story. This 8 year old boy drew this obviously offensive (to liberals) picture after he and his family took a trip to see a Christmas display at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette. Which is a Christian retreat site in Attleboro Massachusetts. Then in class this young christian boy, after his teacher asked the children to sketch something that reminded them of Christmas, drew the picture of Jesus on the cross. Just a thought but maybe he drew the picture because it is the Christmas season which has the name of Christ right in the name. For shame!
Toni Saunders, an educational consultant with the Associated Advocacy Center speculated, “I think what happened is that because he put Xs in the eyes of Jesus, the teacher was alarmed and they told the parents they thought it was violent.” The teacher obviously has never seen a passion play, now that is violent.
The weak kneed principal of Maxham School Rebecca Couet apparently is too important and wouldn’t even be bother to respond about an incident that happened in the school that she is in charge of. In true its not my fault fashion referred all question to the superintendent’s office. With all the blame refusal of a seasoned politician trying to buy time to figure out a way not to take responsibility for crap that goes on in one of the schools she is supposed to superintend. Superintendent Julie Hackett refused to take any responsibility with the ever popular and pathetic excuse the district policy prevents her from discussing a “confidential matter regarding a student.” God I hope these poor excuses for public employees get fired.
The Taunton Daily Gazett had this description of what the boy had to go through after his horrible act at school.
“The boy made the drawing and was sent home from school on Dec. 2. He went for the psychological evaluation — at his parents’ expense — the next day and was cleared to return to school the following Monday after the psychological evaluation found nothing to indicate that he posed a threat to himself or others.
The boy, however, was traumatized by the incident, which made going back to school very difficult, the father said. School administrators have approved the father’s request to have the boy transferred to another elementary school in the district.”
Schools these day make me absolutely retch I wonder if it would have been such a big deal if it had been a Muslim student and they drew a picture of an infidel being killed for Christmas. I suppose that would fall under protected religious speech.
