Civil Rights What The Hell Happened!

When you look at the civil rights movement today and the civil rights from Dr. King’s time it has not only changed but has been taken to a dangerously extreme level of hypocrisy and idiocy.  In Dr. King’s famous speech on of the most known parts is “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” Well I am sorry to say that this simple vision by Dr. Martin Luther King has been bastardized into something more like this, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the content of their character but by the color of their skin.” The reason I say this is well hell just turn on your TV, some crybaby is always trying to pull the race card to get undeserved promotion or jobs they are not qualified for along with a plethora of excuses. One of the worst offenses in my opinion to that simple dream is what has become of affirmative action.Affirmative action may have had its place at one time but now it along with a multitude of other things do nothing more than separate people based upon the color of their skin or their religion or a whole host of other “protected class status laws.”

With all the “poor me” attitude from all the different ethnic and religious  groups, I fear that any meaningful change will never happen with a poverty pimp like Jesse Jackson and hate mongers like Lewis Farrakhan and Al Sharpton who make their living off of increasing and fostering a degradation of  ethnic and racial relations. Seriously what percentage of the total population actually believe the rhetoric that spews forth from these racist hate mongers that talk down to the same people they say they want to help up.

If we ever truly want to succeed in having any real form racial and religious tollerance, we all need to collectively decide to stop listening to these idiots and move forward.

It is getting harder and harder to watch the news or read a newspaper (yes some people actually read the liberal rags). Especially when it comes to children.  I look  and listen I see stories on how we as responsible parents need to equally reward failure as we reward success. This is troubling to me. The concept of rewarding failure. How are kids these days supposed to have a sense of pride in completing a difficult task or to be persistent when they want something when they do not know how to handle rejection and failure. Seriously everyone fails at times and in the real world when you fail does somebody come up to you and say rediculuous crap similar to “good work you tried hard” and then give you a medal for participating? No chance in hell! But that seems to be how we are supposed to train our kids. I think that a little rejection is healthy and a realization that there are winners and losers in every part of life is essential. Teaching children that they can’t always win in the end will make them push that much harder for their goals and be able to push threw the inevitable rejections that occur in life.
