Wow ok? First I would like to say that genetic experimentation has its lighter side. Why cant more geneticists have this kind of creativity or at least be able to talk about it. Well South Korea wins my “Because We Can” award for this one. Apparently some South Korean scientists got bored and thought to themselves Hmm I know lets make florescent dogs. And the race to scientific discovery was on. According to this Reuters story these scientists took a florescent protein similar to the kind that some sea anemones have and made dogs that glow under ultra violet light. I see huge advantages to the domestic pet market on this one. I mean how many times do peoples dogs run away at night? Now thanks to these brilliant animal lovers if your dog does run away at night all you need is a ultra violet flashlight which can be purchased for around 20 bucks and you will not have to wait till day time to find it. but don’t take my word for it watch the video and see what I think could be the future of the designer pet industry. We Definitely need more of this kind of breakthrough in our world if for no other reason than humor.
In regards to the commercial at the beginning of this video enjoy the capitalism and then the video. That is not a put down for I myself am a staunch capitalist.
