NORTH KOREA NOW HAS NUCLEAR CAPABILITIES!!!! OK seriously who did not see this coming for the last few years. All we have heard about  since 2006 is how Kim Jong “mentally” Il has been trying to produce a viable nuclear weapon well surprise surprise he has now successfully set off a nuclear device comparable to the weapon that destroyed Hiroshima, And yet again just like when they tested that  first nuclear device in 2006 and testing that flop of  a ICBM (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile). The current United States, Russian, French and other administrations along with the UN security council have now put forth some strong adjectives which do surprisingly little to deter Pyongyang from continuing its nuclear ambitions although they did use some stronger adjectives than they did with the first nuclear test in 2006 which resulted in some wide-ranging sanctions from the security council which as we can see did a lot of good and now they want to use the already proven method of failed “wide-ranging sanctions” but God help them if they start not only using repetitive adjectives but also start using forceful adverbs and the security council and others must let Kim Jong “mentally” Il know that “hey we have a whole damn thesaurus at our disposal so watch out”. So just out of curiosity is there any administration or government out there that is going to actually grow a pair and do something other than use strong wording and hollow threats? or does this joker have to kill thousands if not tens of thousands of people before this lovey, touchy feelgood world we live is going to realize that not everyone gives a crap about treaties, The Geneva Convention, or any other pieces of paper that really when it comes down to it are not worth the paper they are printed on. We need to protect our South Korean friends and come together as allied countries should, and stop maniacs that hurt their people and or openly mock and deny atrocities such as the Holocaust like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran who is trying to get nuclear weapons and has said Israel needs to be wiped from the earth. Oh good are these same jello spine leaders going to continue to do nothing as the people of the world watch to see who they will obliterate? Unfortunately probably so. doing nothing of any substance seems to be par for the course these days.

I read an article on the United States Geological Services’ web site (the article) that just helped fuel my disgust for Eco Nazis. Were you aware that in the northern United States excluding Alaska we have vast reserves of untaped oil and natural gas yet your elected officials buying into special interest hype and lies about energy production refuse to use the vast abundance of resources at our disposal in just the lower 48 alone. The USGS’ article that was released April 10 2008 states “A U.S. Geological Survey assessment, released April 10, shows a 25-fold increase in the amount of oil that can be recovered compared to the agency’s 1995 estimate of 151 million barrels of oil.” And yet we pay unnecessarily high gas prices. The middle east in its entirety not just a couple of the oil producing nations that you know of have a combined estimated total of 840.4 billion Barrels “Source: U.S. Department of Energy, Oil & Gas Journal; 2007 figures.” According to the CIA fact book in January 2008 the proved oil reserves for the United States was 20.97 Billion  barrels this was released before the new reserve of 3 – 4.3 Billion barrels in Bakken. The problem lies there in that we use an average of 20 million barrels a day and we have a total provable reserve of 20.97 billion barrels which if we just used that at our consumption rate our entire provable reserve would only last 2.7 Years. What we need to do is ease back not completely away from oil as our main fuel source and start tapping more of the natural gas reserves which is more than 5 trillion cu m “but our president said that we need to get away from oil completely” is a common one. OK fine we stop using petroleum completely I hope you are not to attached to things like plastic, rubbing alcohol, hand lotion, and over 1000 other products that you use on a daily basis. So I say if you want to completely stop using the resources we have and depend more for importation making us more beholden to foreign interests then I say fine you can leave the real world because you obviously don’t live there anyway.

Are there any actual people left? This is a question that I found myself asking the day while I was in a local bar just sitting back with my soda listening to the conversations that were going on around me. I began to realise that very few if any of them had an actual personality. Now I do not have any type of degree in psychology but I am really good at spotting BS and wow does it plop heavy in group settings. At one table there was a couple discussing politics (which I follow like some people follow day time television) and this couple were pretending to have a intellectual conversation about current issues but quickly made it apparent that the farthest level of knowledge they had was nothing more than sound bytes you would hear on networks like MSNBC or CNN with no actual opinion or fact to back up most of what either of them were saying. Then there was a group of guys all wearing some sort of sports regalia talking about… you guessed it sports which they were obviously knowledgeable about. This group would not have ordinarily caught my attention but for the fact that there was a group of girls a couple of tables over who were very pretty and dressed as though they were more professional rather than goofy ditzes and these guys were looking over and amping up the testosterone gearing it towards their sports conversation thinking that they were going to impress these apparently non sports type women by acting like they were at a game of some sort. now these guys didn’t appear to be fake in their enthusiasm but to me the humor was the obviously misguided flirting that did ultimately not work. Then last but not least there was another group of women who were I would say late mid to late 30s that due to their appearance were either one of two things. Either they were going threw a early mid life crisis or had extremely low views of themselves I say this because they were all dress very provocatively with short short skirts that a couple of them had to keep adjusting to keep her as my 4 year old calls it  “wee wee” covered. I listened to their conversation for a couple of minutes just out of curiosity what grown women who dress like street walkers and think that makes them attractive to any adult man worth his salt were saying and yup you guessed it they had nothing to say and said it a lot and loud. As I sat there I wondered does anybody in out society have an actual personality or are they all sheeple that just blindly wander threw this world with no real opinions other than that which is espoused by television show and the news. Or even have the self confidence and individuality to behave the way they really want rather than what crappy impulse buy magazines tell them is popular or what clothes are in style and what music they should like.  Even I your not so humble narrator have fallen victim to this method of thinking in the past until I found the real secret to life and that is in my opinion be honest with people  and quite giving a damn what others think of you. do this and you will be a lot free-er
