How affective were the Tea Parties
Well let’s start this off with the recent nation wide Tea Parties that were held on April 15. This was in my opinion a great success in so far as it united a lot of people with similar goals and sent a message. It apparently angered a lot of liberals who quickly judged anybody who doesn’t believe the way they do as a racist or are mentally disturbed. A lot of the claims made by liberals seem to glean on to the fact that there were a lot more people of the Caucasian persuasion at the rallies than those of other racial backgrounds. But what they are leaving out is that while yes it is true that more white people than people of color showed up, it was the individual’s choice white, black or otherwise to join in. There were not invitations sent out to my knowledge targeting attendance of one ethnic group over another, it was purely the fact that the people who did show up are tired of taxation without representation, broken promises and straight out lies from our elected officials about spending, bailouts, pork, and taxes. There was a lot of energy put into organizing these Tea Parties, the question now remains is it just going to fade away or are the people going to have the strength and desire to continue to make their voices heard or get scared by trivial and mind numbingly un-researched accusation of racism and mental limbic mental disorders by people like Janeane Garofalo who as an actor and comedian is obviously highly qualified as a neurologist and social anthropologist. It truly does amaze me about the level of expertise in these areas considering from what I have read, she studied history at Providence college. The point is purely to demand more from your elected officials and tune out Hollywood type people who believe that they are a lot more important than they really are.
Here is Janeane Garofalo’s rant, you decide Truth or Lunacy
